Maranta leuconeura 'Fascinator' is commonly known as a prayer plant because the leaves tend to fold together at night, as if they are hands closed in prayer. This is for protection in the wild. The leaves are oval-shaped with a striking light-and-dark-green feathered pattern with red veins, and are often red underneath.
This Prayer Plant will use its air-purifying qualities to remove harmful pollutants and unwanted toxins, adding great benefits to the surrounding area. It features absolutely stunning leaves with a striking patterning that leaves most people checking if they’re even real. Marantas will open their leaves with the morning sun, and close them again at night - you can sometimes even hear them rustling! They don’t grow upwards as much they grow outwards, so be prepared for a wave of new leaves making their way over the sides of the pot!
